The company name Juru is inspired by the confucian ideology in the traditional chinese culture. Good-naturedness is a source of wealth, the way of confucian Merchants. The name implies "gathering gentle merchants to create a sustainable future".

The company was founded in 2004 and has been in existence for over 20 years.
